Vestibular Therapy:

happy_elders (26K)

Vestibular symptoms are usually described as dizziness or vertigo. Patients may have sensitivity to visual motion, difficulty walking, unsteadiness, or a history of falls. Some patients may describe the room spinning or have a history of holding onto walls/furniture to prevent falling.

Our specialty trained therapists are committed to providing the best therapy interventions for vestibular disorders following a thorough evaluation including observing posture, movement testing, visual disturbance/eye-head coordination screening and balance assessment. We use advanced techniques and state of the art assessment equipment to address both vestibular and balance disorders including Biodex computerized equipment.

Treatment is individualized and consists of specific exercises designed to allow the central nervous system to adjust.

  • Brandt-Daroff exercise
  • Canalith repositioning maneuver
  • Habituation exercise
  • Eye-head exercise
